POWDER COATING
Powder coating is an advanced finishing process that creates a strong finish also used by OEM manufacturers. It is widely used in industrial finishing for a wide range of parts, materials, and products where a decorative and protective coating is required to protect the product from heat, cold, grime, scratching, corrosion or bleaching.
OUR POWDER COATING PROCESS
Step 1 : Removing the wheels from the carIf we have your car on site it will be parked within our secure premises for the duration of the repair. The other option is that spare wheels are temporally fitted so that the car can stay on the road. We can also provide you with a set of our own wheels to be fitted on your car until the repair process is over. |
Step 2: Removing the tyres, weight
|
Step 5: Wheel inspectionOnce the wheel is fully cleaned it is checked for any cracks or structural damage. The wheels are tested on a balancing machine to check for any bends or buckles. We would then notify you if there is any damage to the wheel deemed to be dangerous, and advise if the wheel can be repaired and if any extra repair cost is involved. Please note that any damages that are not repaired may affect the quality of the wheel painting process.

Step 8: Painting the wheelFirst, the wheel is placed into the oven for the preheating process. Then the new powder primer is applied and the wheels go back into the oven for the curing process.
After the curing process, the wheels are allowed to cool down slightly before the colour application and powder coat clear lacquer. -The wheels are then taken placed back into the oven to harden the coatings and ensure a full cure. Please see below a selection of powder coating we have available. Other colours can be prepared on order. |
